About the project

2001 Box office hit The Fast and the Furious introduced the world to tuner car culture on the big screen creating life time fans. Twenty years later there still exists a global fan base for not only the movie, but individual cars including the now iconic Kawasaki Lime Green 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by Paul Walker, AKA "Brian's Eclipse".

From the moment audiences saw it in 2001, they were gripped. Even the children of those viewers now entering their twenties seeing it for the first time are drawn in adding to an already great desire to own this car. But there is a big problem.... Trying to source fiberglass body kit parts in new condition from over twenty years ago is nearly impossible. That's where this project comes in.

My name is Erich Rosado and back in 2001 I was a partner in a body kit manufacturing company. I designed kits on paper, and brought them to life in Southern California. Although life has gone in a different direction and I no longer directly manufacture as my full time job, I've maintained great relationships. Those relationships are now enabling  me to offer a once in a decade opportunity to bring the Mitsubishi Eclipse Robocar Aero Armor kit back from the dead.  How? check out the FAQ below:

Q: If the kits are so hard to find, how is one able to be replicated?

A: We've kept a spare original kit in storage for twenty years. I intended to create another eclipse replica at some point but never did. That has now opened the door to help others by creating a brand new mold from this kit.

Q: Why can't we get one from the original manufacturer?

A: Unlike polyurethane injection molds which are often made of metal and last for many years producing thousands of parts, body kits are produced from fiberglass molds are only able to turn out a limited number of parts, usually under fifty, before the mold begins to develop serious distortions. Due to this, molds are destroyed in just a couple years. Pair that with dwindling demand, and you end up with no need to create a new mold so they disappear as molds are destroyed.

Q: Companies like KBD are still making this body kit though right?

A: Not exactly. Although similar, the kit is not the same. Piracy is rampant in the after market body kit industry which causes some confusion. There have been no less than ten different but similar iterations of the original kit some of which you can still find on the market today. But for the purist who is able to discern the very real difference between the kits, ours will be the only one that is a true Robocar reproduction.

Q: Is the kit available now to purchase?

A: Yes. Our minimum order quantity has been met. We are now taking orders for kits.

Q: How long after I pay can I expect the kit to ship?

A: The process of production, packing, freight scheduling and pickup can take up to four weeks.

Q: How much is shipping?

A: Shipping is dependent on your location and is not included in the price. Typically this ranges from $250 to $350 but can go as high as $475 for the far north east.

Q: Is local pickup available?

A: Yes. Please use the contact form to get additional details.

Q: Is Shipping to Europe available?
